1) What are CEU’s?

CEU stands for Continuing Education Units, which is primarily a nationally recognized method for granting credit to individuals who seek further professional development. Many industries, including the security industry, require members who hold certifications within the industry to maintain those certification credentials by obtaining a certain number of continuing education units (CEUs) each year. CEUs ensure the student will stay up-to-date on the latest trends, techniques and technologies. One of the ways the industry stays current is by encouraging its members to obtain CEUs by taking classes that further their professional development.

2) What is the Aiphone Training Portal?

The Aiphone Training Portal is a new online service from The CMOOR Group offering a full range of fully accredited CEU courses, available 24/7 online, for as little as $15 a course. The AiphoneTraining.com site is “for security and by security” with training that helps security professionals maintain their industry certifications and provides online CEU courses on the latest security industry topics.

3) Who is the CMOOR Group?

The CMOOR Group was founded by Chris Moorhead and Connie Moorhead to provide the security, construction, and architecture industry with customized eLearning solutions, including curriculum development, instructional design, media design, programming and consulting. Unique to most custom content providers, CMOOR offers a full Learning Management System (LMS) solution, technical support for all users and a marketing program to promote the launch and usage of new online programs. CMOOR also provides Webinar solutions, over 1500 professional development courses, core competency sales assessments, and certified instructor-led training courses. Located in Louisville, Ky., the company is privately held.

4) I have courses I would like to add to the Aiphone Training Portal. How do I get started?

We are happy to help you get your courses online! Click here for more information or please contact us at 1 (800) 692-0200 x8111 or by email at training@aiphonetraining.com. There is no fee for industry providers to place their content online at Aiphone.

5) What if I forget my account password?

If you have forgotten your password, you can have the site email it to you. Click the Support link in the left navigation bar, and then click the link in the Forgotten Password topic. Enter your email address, click send, and then check your email. You should receive your password in an automated email within a few minutes. If you try this approach and are still having problems, contact Technical Support at (502) 254-1506.

6) How do I find my current CEU status?

You can find your current CEU status – the number of CEU’s you have per course, your test score, and your certificate status – by logging into the system and clicking the View My Transcript link. From the Transcript page, you’ll also be able to take the course, reprint a receipt or reprint your certificate.

7) How long do I have to take the course?

Courses have a 12 month time limit on them from the date of purchase. After the 12 months have expired, you can no longer take the course. If you would like access to the same content again, you will need to repurchase.

8) Can I retake a course I purchased?

You can retake a course as many times as you would like within the 12 month timeframe. Please note that each time you take a course, your previous test score is reset and is irretrievable.

9) How do I know my online credit card transaction is secure?

The Aiphone Training Portal uses 128-bit SSL encryption for its financial transactions. You can verify our security certificate by double-clicking on the lock-icon that appears in the lower-right of your browser when you are purchasing a course. Double-clicking the lock icon will display the certificate which is issued by Starfield Secure Certification Authority.

10) What are my payment options?

The Aiphone Training Portal currently accepts VISA, MasterCard and American Express. If you would like to pay by Purchase Order or some other method, please contact us at 502-254-1590.

11) What proof do I have that I completed and passed a course?

At the end of each course, you will be given the chance to print your site-generated certificate. You can also come back at a later time and reprint the certificate from your Transcript page. The certificate is proof that you passed the course.
